# Can an AI agent read your prices?

An AI agent without a browser can read the prices of 88 of the 134 products we checked (66%), straight from their /pricing page. At the other 46, it finds no price to quote.

Drives: 1 Oct 2026 to 1 Nov 2026 · 134 products · Step: [Find](https://agentdrives.com/access/find.md) · Subject: Pricing pages · Counted 1 Nov 2026. Source: https://agentdrives.com/findings/readable-prices?via=md · CC BY 4.0

## What a readable pricing page has

- The page lives at /pricing and loads as HTML, with no script needed.
- Each price is text with its currency, not a picture.
- The plan name sits next to its price.
- Each price says what it is per: a month, a seat, a request.
- Limits and overage are written out.
- Where a plan has a price, the page gives it. “Contact sales” gives an agent nothing to compare.

## What we found

| Answer | Of 134 | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Prices in the page text | 88 (66%) | An agent reads every price with one request. |
| Page loads, no price in the text | 20 (15%) | The amounts arrive by script, sit in images or aren't on the page. |
| No page at /pricing | 14 (10%) | An agent that tries the usual address finds nothing. |
| Request turned away | 6 (4%) | The site answers 401, 403, 429 or 503 before the page loads. |
| Something else | 6 (4%) | A redirect, or an answer that isn't a page. |

- 81 of the 87 pages with prices we graded also name the plan and what each price is per.
- 9 of the 20 pages without a price name a free plan but no amount.
- 5 also publish their prices as JSON.

## For agent builders

- Fetch /pricing first. If it has no price, render the page in a browser before you give up.
- Read the plan and the unit with each price, or you will compare a monthly price with a yearly one.
- A 403 on /pricing means the site turned you away, not that it has no prices.
- Say so when you can't find a price. Don't guess one.

## How we tested

- Drives from 1 Oct 2026 to 1 Nov 2026, 201 products.
- At 134 of them, the drive asked for the site's /pricing page with one plain HTTP request: no browser, no script run.
- A price counts when an amount stands next to a currency sign or code in the page text.

## Limits

- Each product as it was on the day of its newest drive.
- We ask for /pricing only. A pricing page at another address counts as no page at /pricing.
