# hCaptcha and AI agents

hCaptcha is a check a site puts on a form, most often the sign-up form. Each site decides where it shows.

Our signed agent met it at 11 products. It stopped our agent at 10 and let it through at 1. Drives from 6 to 23 Oct 2026.

Most stops reflect each site's own settings, not the vendor's defaults.

## What an owner can change

Check the Web Bot Auth signature on the sign-up request (the agent's key directory is public) and skip hCaptcha for signed agents; or offer a documented sign-up API with email verification.
