What stops agents in browser infrastructure.

In our drives, our agent gets in on its own at 4 of 4 products, and a bot check stopped our signed agent at no product. At Browserless and Steel, the key had to be copied from a dashboard in a browser, after an email sign-up on a web form. At Browserbase, a key needs an account, and the sign-up form asks for a phone number.

Paying is the next stop. Browserbase and Steel sell use per call over x402 with no account. At Anchor Browser and Browserless, more credits or a plan go through the dashboard, with no agent payment route. Browserbase and Browserless let an agent leave on its own. At Anchor Browser and Steel, the project or the login stayed after deletion.

3 of 4 products reach L3 or higher. Anchor Browser, Browserless and Steel are at L4 · Runs on its own, with the work done without a browser through their APIs, SDKs and MCP servers. Browserbase is at L2 · Gets in: our agent drove a browser session bought per call over x402, read it back and ended it.

Anchor Browser shows the fix: its documented Agent Access route returns an API key from an API call, with no account and no browser. From that key, our agent ran sessions, tasks and webhooks headless on the free tier.
