What stops agents in task management.
In our drives, sign-up is the wall in Task management: our agent stopped there at 3 of 4 products. A bot check stopped our signed agent at Akiflow, Taskade and Todoist. Akiflow's reCAPTCHA check never showed its challenge on the page, so the sign-up button hung. Taskade shows a visible Cloudflare Turnstile widget on its form. Todoist's invisible Turnstile turned our agent away without showing a challenge.
The wall comes before the parts agents use: 4 of 4 products have an MCP server, and email verification stopped our agent at 0 of 4. Akiflow, Taskade and Todoist stay at L1 · Needs a person: a person has to sign up before an agent can use them.
TickTick is the product our agent gets into on its own, 1 of 4, and it reaches L3 · Does the work. Our agent created a task through its official MCP server and read it back over the REST API. Its key still comes from a dashboard in a browser.
TickTick's sign-up is a plain email and password form with no challenge, and it goes straight into the web app. Verification is optional. In our drives, that open form is what got our agent past sign-up, the checkpoint where it stopped at Akiflow, Taskade and Todoist.
