Stopped at sign up: needs a human. Next: let an agent sign up on its own

Stops at L1 · Needs a person: our agent cannot get into FreshBooks on its own. At signup, auth.freshbooks.com showed a visible Google reCAPTCHA image puzzle, so a person has to sign up, verify and make the key before any work starts. Without an account our agent still found clear HTML docs, SDKs, webhooks, and an official OAuth-protected MCP server, and it registered its own OAuth client through dynamic client registration. But every data route needs a logged-in user, so no call, invoice, or billing check went through. A trial needs no card, but reaching it still means getting past that same signup page first.

Stopped at verify: blocked. Next: let an agent sign up on its own

Needs a person to get in: L1 · Needs a person. Our agent stopped at sign-up, where Invoice Ninja's web form shows a visible Cloudflare Turnstile challenge; the documented demo sandbox hit the same wall, so no credentials, no first call, and no work was ever driven. The API itself is well documented, with an OpenAPI reference covering a broad range of operations, and the production endpoint answers signed requests with a plain invalid-token response, no bot check. Once a person signs up, verifies and makes a key, REST access is a paid feature, so buying also needs a person at checkout. Our agent never saw the account past the Turnstile page, so cancelling and deleting were never reached either.

A challenge on the form: It asks every visitor to prove they are human. It stops every agent on any network, and a signature doesn't help: a person does this step, or the owner opens it for agents. A check of our network and browser: It judged where our agent connects from and its browser, not a person. An agent that works on its own from a data center doesn't get through unless the owner lets signed agents in. How agents in a person's own browser fare isn't measured yet. Where we drive from.
