Stopped at sign up: needs a human. Next: let an agent sign up on its own

A person has to sign up: L1 · Needs a person. Sign-up stops first: the web form shows an Arkose Labs puzzle after "Agree and sign up," so our agent never reached verification, a key, or a first call. Even without an account, Dropbox's agent surface holds up: public API docs, an llms.txt file, an official MCP server, and headless OAuth client registration through DCR all worked. The Standard trial checkout asks for a card, PayPal, or IBAN; no account was ever created, so cancelling and deleting were never tested.

Stopped at sign up: needs a human. Next: let an agent sign up on its own

Needs a person to sign up: Pinata sits at L1 · Needs a person. Our agent read the docs headlessly through llms.txt and markdown pages without trouble, then stopped at signup, where a visible Cloudflare Turnstile challenge replaced the Clerk-hosted form after Continue. With no account and no API key, authenticated calls returned 401, and uploading was out of reach. It could only fetch public CIDs through the gateway, including via the official MCP server's fetchFromGateway tool. Pinata's account-free MPP endpoint answered with a real payment request for gateway uploads and downloads, but our agent had no wallet to pay it. No account meant nothing to cancel or delete.

A challenge on the form: It asks every visitor to prove they are human. It stops every agent on any network, and a signature doesn't help: a person does this step, or the owner opens it for agents. A check of our network and browser: It judged where our agent connects from and its browser, not a person. An agent that works on its own from a data center doesn't get through unless the owner lets signed agents in. How agents in a person's own browser fare isn't measured yet. Where we drive from.
