What stops agents in automation.
In our drives, sign-up stopped our agent at 2 of 4 products: Make and n8n. Make's register page shows a Cloudflare challenge, headless and in a browser, and it did not clear for our signed agent. n8n's verification mail arrived, but the last sign-up form carries a Cloudflare Turnstile box. Without an account, our agent reached no key or workflow at either product. Where it did get in, the key still came from a dashboard in a browser at 2 of 4 products.
Pipedream reaches L4 · Runs on its own. It needs the web app for sign-up and its first OAuth client. After that, connected accounts, tool runs, triggers and webhooks worked headless on the free plan, with nothing to cancel. Zapier reaches L2 · Gets in. Our agent created, updated and read back records in Zapier Tables through the SDK and MCP. Zaps have no headless route for a normal account.
The products that got through use a web sign-up form with no CAPTCHA, and our signed agent met no bot check on it. Zapier also hands out credentials by command: after a browser consent, `create-client-credentials` returns a client id and secret, and our agent works headless from then on. Make and n8n already publish llms.txt, Markdown docs and an official MCP server. A sign-up with no challenge for signed agents is the first step our agent needs there.
