- Link was the wallet on offer most often, at 26 of the 63 checkouts.
- 9 of the 148 products also offered an agent payment by x402, next to the card checkout.
- At the other 85, our agent never saw a checkout page.
What to do.
For product owners
- Link the checkout of each paid plan from the pricing page, so an agent can open it without a sales call.
- Keep the checkout to the card, the name and the address. Leave the phone number out or make it optional.
- Let a signed agent past the bot check on the checkout page, the same as on sign-up.
For agent builders
- Expect a bot check on the checkout page, even when none shows.
- Check the pricing page for an x402 option before you go to the card checkout.
Method and limits.
How we tested
- Drives from 1 Oct 2026 to 1 Nov 2026, 201 products. At 148 of them our agent set out to buy the cheapest paid plan.
- It went from the pricing page to the checkout, filled in what it could and stopped before the button that pays.
- On each checkout page it noted who runs the card form, any bot check, a 3-D Secure check, a phone field and the wallets on offer.
Limits
- Each checkout as it was on the day of its drive.
- One plan per product: the cheapest paid one.
- A check that runs only after the pay button isn't counted.
- Counts under 5 are left out.
