Databricks
databricks.comDatabricks is a data and AI platform.
Can an AI agent use Databricks? No. Our agent couldn't get into Databricks on its own.

Tips for agent builders
- Read the REST reference as Markdown: docs.databricks.com/api/llms.txt lists every operation page, and each <group>/v1/<op>.md gives the method and path.
- Add the keyless docs MCP at https://developers.databricks.com/api/mcp; it speaks MCP 2025-11-25, so start with initialize.
- Once a person has made the workspace, run 'databricks auth login' (OAuth U2M with a localhost:8020 callback) or use a PAT from 'databricks tokens create'.

Questions people ask about Databricks
- Can an AI agent sign up for Databricks on its own?
- No. Sign-up: needs a human. Email and the mailed code went through; then 'Set up your account' showed an Arkose Labs puzzle ('Protecting your account. Please solve this puzzle so we know you are a real person') on both the Free Edition and the 14-day trial sign-up. Asked for an account name; our agent answered.
- Does Databricks have an MCP server, and can an agent connect to it?
- Databricks's docs have an MCP server for searching them. The drive found no MCP server that works the product itself. A new agent can't get in on its own: in the drive of 26 Oct 2026, our agent stopped at sign up (it needs a person).
