Sentry
sentry.ioSentry is an error and performance monitoring service.
Can an AI agent use Sentry? Yes, in a browser. Our agent got into Sentry on its own in 3 minutes and did 9 of its 10 core tasks.

What it can't do, and why
- Get Seer to fix an issue It needs a GitHub or GitLab repository connected first.
- Create or revoke an API token without the web page Tokens are made and revoked only in the web settings.
- Buy a plan by API or agent payment Only a card checkout in the app; no billing API or payment rail.
- Provision users with SCIM Needs the Business plan with single sign-on.

Paid-plan tasks don't count toward the level. The drive used the no-card trial (14-day Business trial, then free).
Surface audit: 390 documented operations, 290 run, 264 passed, 26 not as documented, 92 blocked (sandbox or plan limits), 8 left out to stay safe.

Tips for agent builders
- Sign in to https://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp first (CIMD works) and use search_sentry_tools + execute_sentry_tool to reach the 54 catalog tools (create_project, create_dsn, alert and monitor tools).
- Make one personal token in Settings > Personal Tokens with every scope you need, Team included; REST covers what MCP lacks (delete project/issue).
- Sentry groups errors by stack trace: set an SDK fingerprint to get one issue per test.

Questions people ask about Sentry
- Can an AI agent sign up for Sentry on its own?
- Yes, in a browser, without a human. Web form at sentry.io/signup/ (name, organization, email, password, data region); invisible reCAPTCHA passed our agent's browser; asked for an organization name; our agent answered.
- Does Sentry have an MCP server, and can an agent connect to it?
- Yes. Sentry has an official MCP server. A new agent can get in on its own: in the drive of 1 Nov 2026, our agent signed up, verified and got its key without a person. Through the MCP server, 2 of our agent's 3 attempts worked.
- How does an AI agent get a Sentry API key?
- In the drive of 1 Nov 2026, our agent got its Sentry API key in a browser, without a person. Personal tokens are made only in Settings > Personal Tokens (docs: api/auth.md, api/guides/create-auth-token.md); no documented API or device flow; the MCP OAuth token needs a browser consent (its Authorize button stayed disabled for our agent's browser; a form submit worked).
- Can an AI agent delete its Sentry account?
- Yes, in a browser, without a human. Settings > Close Account (docs: account/user-settings.md#close-account) deleted the sole-owner organization and deactivated the user, in the agent's own browser. Afterwards the personal token gets 401 User inactive or deleted, the MCP token is rejected, and password login shows Account Disabled, scheduled for removal (reactivation is offered during a grace period).
- Can an AI agent pay for Sentry?
- Partly. Reaches the checkout: stopped at the $29 a month charge.
