Read the API reference as Markdown: append .md to any streak.readme.io page; each has an OpenAPI 3.1.0 block.
Authenticate API calls with HTTP Basic: the API key as the username, empty password, on https://api.streak.com/api/v1 or /api/v2.
Check each operation's version on its page: boxes update and delete are v1, box create, contacts, comments, tasks and webhooks are v2.
v1 create calls (pipelines, stages, fields, snippets) are PUT with a url-encoded body, not JSON.
For MCP, point the client at https://api.streak.com/mcp; it registers by DCR at /oauth2/register and signs in through Google.
