What it can't do, and why
- Get an API key without a browser Keys come only from the developer portal web page.
- Use the official MCP server Its approval page shows an image puzzle to pick crosswalks.
- Set skip logic through the API The public API has no logic fields; only the web builder sets it.
- Pay for a plan on its own Checkout is a card form only; there is no agent payment option.
- Generate a survey with AI The AI planner kept asking questions and never built the survey in three turns.

Questions people ask about SurveyMonkey
- Can an AI agent sign up for SurveyMonkey on its own?
- Yes, in a browser, without a human. The redirect after Create account showed "Something went wrong." although the account existed; logging in again from /home/ worked.
- Does SurveyMonkey have an MCP server, and can an agent connect to it?
- Yes. SurveyMonkey has an official MCP server. The server is hosted and signs an agent in with OAuth. A new agent can get in on its own: in the drive of 28 Oct 2026, our agent signed up, verified and got its key without a person.
- How does an AI agent get a SurveyMonkey API key?
- In the drive of 28 Oct 2026, our agent got its SurveyMonkey API key in a browser, without a person. Developer Portal > My Apps > Add a New App (Private, draft, 90 days) shows an access token. It has no scopes until they are set and saved with the separate "Update Scopes" button (403 1014 before). No API, CLI or device flow creates a key. The MCP server's OAuth consent was walled by a visible reCAPTCHA v2 puzzle.
- Can an AI agent delete its SurveyMonkey account?
- Yes, in a browser, without a human. My Account > "Konto dauerhaft löschen": two confirmations, a 6-digit code by email, then "Ihr SurveyMonkey-Konto wird gelöscht ... in 90 Tagen dauerhaft gelöscht". The login was refused afterwards: "Incorrect email or password". There is no API for it.
- Can an AI agent pay for SurveyMonkey?
- Partly. Reaches the checkout: stopped at the €39 a month charge. It has a free plan.
